Yes, now YOU can own your own digital copy of Destroy Roy.

Please note: To use Amazon Unbox, you have to download and install the Unbox Player. That requires a Windows PC or Tivo. Sorry it doesn’t work on Macs.

We have test-driven the download process. It can be a little tedious. It can take 10-20 minutes to install the Unbox Player, and another 10-20 minutes to download Destroy Roy. And that’s if everything goes well.

My suggestion — install the player first. If you’re OK with how that works, then buy and download Destroy Roy.

Remember: Destroy Roy. Obesity kills.

Another month…

We have little to report here.

We submitted Destroy Roy to the Austin Film Festival. It’ll be another month before the festival announces which movies it’ll screen.

And CreateSpace, the digital distributor for Amazon Unbox, is driving us crazy with its ineptitude. It’s been two months and still no word as to when the movie will be listed.

Delay of game

It’s been several weeks since the premier and many of you are wondering what happened to Destroy Roy. We’re trying to make it available on Amazon Unbox. After five weeks, we’re still waiting with this response from the company:

We apologize for the delay in making your title available through Amazon Unbox. Due to the increasing popularity of the Unbox service, estimated processing times for this feature have lengthened considerably. If we accept your title for distribution through Unbox, our goal is to have your DVD content available as a video download through the Unbox store in approximately 30 business days. However, current processing times are significantly longer due to high demand. We will continue to do everything in our power to make your Unbox listing live on Amazon.com as soon as possible.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause, and appreciate your understanding and patience in this matter.

Yeah, that kinda sucks. We’ll let everyone know as soon as the status changes.

We are very close to having Destroy Roy available for download. It’s 3/4 of the way through the process. I’m going to guess it’s going to be online by the end of this week.

This is our chance to let our work seen by the world. We’re in control of our exposure here, so let’s get excited! I’ll let you know when I hear more…

Hi Destroy Royers!

Well, it’s been a few days since our premiere and we’re getting good reviews from some of the folks who saw it. Oh yes. We’re awesome.

I have mailed copies of the movies to everyone who emailed me (I think). If you still need one, please let me know and I will get it out to you as soon as possible.

ALSO: We still have copies of the DVD for sale. They are $5 each. We’ve sold a few, and that’s been really nice. Anyone who wants one should email me at pantrypuff@yahoo.com

ALSO PART 2: Destroy Roy should be available for download at creatspace.com within a few weeks. It costs $2. I know all of you have given so much already, but we really need your help in promoting this. I will, of course, harass everyone I know through an email blast. When we’re ready for you to do the same (if you are willing), I’ll let you know.

Premiere and your videos

Well, I don’t think I’m the most objective person to say this, but I think Roy was a hit at our premiere Friday night!

At least 40 people gathered in Brian Digg’s back yard to watch the movie on a big screen (sheet). It was awesome. Very Movies In The Park. Only Movies in the Yard.

Spruce took lots of pictures and as soon as I get some time, I’ll post them.

Meanwhile.

I brought everyone’s movies last night, but, sadly, I did not take the time to hand them out. So now I have loads of movies that I need to get to you. I’m just going to pop the in the mail.

Backstory: Rosemary Holly

Oh to be this lovely…

Rosemary Holly saved my life. Truly.

No, she didn’t push me out of the way of a racing car or drag me out of a fire a la Johnny in The Outsiders. She did something more heroic.

It was two days before the big newsroom scene and one of our actresses suddenly dropped out. There we were. Screwed, Hollywood style.

Ro jumped into the role of Cindy with energy and professionalism. We took her naturally beautiful, soft look and made her severe. But the look was not enough. Ro had to take the part of sycophantic Cindy and make her resonate.

And boy did she ever. Rosemary brought an element of insanity to Cindy that I never imagined. It was wonderful. I’m all for a maniacal employees. I am one.

Big Day!

Exciting news!

Brian Diggs and the lovely Dacia Bertrand have — with the exception of a few touch ups — finished the Behind The Scenes documentary. I must say, I really like it. And it’s not just because I’m in it a lot. Truly.

When it’s ready, we’ll post it on the destroyroy.com website.

We are getting close to being able to sell downloads of Destroy Roy on http://Createspace.com. We should be set up sometime in the next month. I wish we could do it faster, but thanks to a few annoying glitches, we can’t. So be it.

Remember the premiere is on May 2. Please brings snacks, chips, drinks or whatever you want to munch on. I’m hoping to have all of your free copies of the movie ready and, hopefully, we’ll have some extras available for purchase for the low low LOW price of $5. Tell your friends to bring cash
